An APPROACH TO THE ORDINARY

I photograph the ordinary because I have learned how quickly a life can change.

My work is shaped by love, loss, parenthood and becoming. I am drawn to the quiet things, familiar places, changing light, the people I love, and moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Photography is my way of paying attention. Of holding onto something before it becomes a memory.

MADE CLOSE TO HOME

Working with medium format and Super 8 film, I create photographs and films about memory, place and the passing of an ordinary life.

Much of this work begins close to home in the Lockyer Valley, Queensland.

A film about longing, memory and the ache of a life that can no longer be returned to.
